Join BOWDA Member Joe Henke of Alberta Ecotrust Foundation | ENBIX at the Grande Rockies Resort in Canmore on November 18th for a FREE workshop: Building Envelope Fundamentals.
The building envelope covers all of the major components that separate the outside from the inside. These include walls, basements, windows and ceiling. Building envelopes perform several different functions including air barriers, vapor barrier, thermal barrier and weather barrier.
This session will focus largely on residential applications but many learnings will be applicable to other applications.
Topics will include:
- Airtightness
- Insulation systems and options
- Under-slab insulation
- Thermal bridging
- Air leakage testing
