Bill’s construction career spans 43 years from his start in Edinburgh as a Quantity Surveyor in 1981.

He has a passion for challenging the status quo while using his characteristic frankness and humour to create good dialogue to unlock potential.

In his role as President and CEO of the Calgary Construction Association he is committed to making the industry better by working on behalf of members on the real issues.

A regular speaker, contributor of articles and co-author of the Commercial Real Estate Revolution, Bill was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) in early 2023 for his services in support of the construction industry and was recognized as one of Construction’s Most Influential People for 2024.
